Abstract

The current global geopolitical environment has changed dramatically, with four main elements promoting global geopolitical changes: the epidemic of the new crown, the war in Ukraine, great power competition, and conflict between China and the United States. The rapid changes in international geopolitics are not simply a matter of strengthening national defense, as a solid national defense must be backed by a strong economy and technology. At present, China's Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, compared with the San Francisco Bay Area, New York Bay Area, and Tokyo Bay Area of Japan, can at least facilitate the integration of the Greater Bay Area, build three world-class economic platforms, create three "Bay Areas," and lay a solid economic and technological foundation for the construction of our national defense.
