Abstract

The video talks between the heads of China and the United States have reached some consensus, which has a moderating effect on China-US relations. However, the U.S. policy toward China will not change significantly, and even tends to be more assertive. The U.S.-China relationship is no longer the "black and white" model of the past, but has a complex and changing character. China must be prepared for a long period of high tension in U.S.-China relations and adjust its foreign strategy appropriately.
