Abstract

When it comes to "China's modernization", we have been talking about the "Four Modernizations" in Mao Zedong's era, the "Three Steps" development strategy in Deng Xiaoping's era, and now In the "two-step" strategic arrangement, have pursued material modernization and institutional modernization. Among them, economic modernization pursues material civilization, political modernization pursues institutional civilization, national defense modernization pursues military civilization, science and technology modernization pursues scientific civilization, but all civilizations must be based on "people" as the carrier of life to achieve, without the modernization of people other aspects of modernization will become meaningless. Without human modernization, other aspects of modernization become meaningless. What we neglect in the modernization narrative is precisely "human modernization". The development of human modernization is extremely necessary, both in terms of history and social reality.
