Dr. BAO Hong graduated from the School of Finance, Central University of Finance and Economics. His research interests are digital currency, financial contagion and risks. He has joined the team of Prof. David Roubaud, the Highly Cited Researchers in 2020-2022, for collaborative research as a visiting Ph.D. student funded by the China Scholarship Council. He has engaged in several government projects and published dozens of papers in domestic and international academic journals.

Before studying for Ph.D., he worked as the director of data department at the Institute of International Technology and Economy, Development Research Center of the State Council. He has authored a number of policy research reports, which have provided important references for policy-making by the government. He has contributed to several books on cutting-edge technology, fintech, and science literacy.
