Abstract

After the assassination of Shinzo Abe, the factional rivalry within the LDP will frequently happen. The incumbent Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is expected to benefit from the competition and maintain the stability of the current regime. At the same time, Japan's diplomatic and security strategy of uniting with the United States, India and Europe to counterbalance China will be maintained. Although there is very little room for improvement in Sino-Japanese relations, we need to remain calm and wait and see what happens.
