Abstract

Turkey is actively promoting the formation of the Turkic Union to achieve its strategic expansion. The current interpretation of Turkey's expansion is focused on two aspects, namely military intervention in regional conflicts and great power political competition, with insufficient attention paid to the "spiritual manipulation" that Turkey really relies on - the "desecularization" of religion and national "pan-Turkism". The fusion of supranational religious beliefs and nationalism will have a huge impact on international politics and national foreign policy, which focuses on state and sovereignty. China needs to be aware of this new change and adjust its related policies (including foreign policy, regional policy, and minority policy).
