Abstract

Russia's military actions in Ukraine have boosted the new round of Ukraine crisis, which has made the international order in Europe appear unprecedented chaos and instability, and the role of the EU in international affairs has generated great doubts and uncertainties. Despite the EU's efforts to blame Russia for the current disaster, the fact is that the US and EU's Ukraine policy has given Russia successive opportunity to seize Crimea and eastern Ukraine. Instead of learning anything from the 2014 Crimean crisis, they seem to be repeating the situation in a more drastic and dramatic way. The crisis in Ukraine can be defined as a series of wrong strategies of the US and its European allies on the issue of Ukraine. At the same time, the crisis in Ukraine has created a new crisis for EU diplomacy.
